all whey protein powder containers contain a scoop and most all of them have about the same measurement for the scoop. if you would like to thicken them up you can add a bit of smashed bananas, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, pumpkin puree, or applesauce. these are the driest/worst pancakes i’ve ever had/made, i feel guilty having made this to break someone’s fast. i hate to be negative in any way but these are the worst pancakes i’ve ever had. a lot of foods i miss because carbs are out of the question for me and protein and vegtables are a must. sodium is what i am watching for my husband and it seems like these are extremely low in sodium for the values of each ingredient. my mom’s maiden name is luna, and i’m one of the many crafty “lil’ lunas” in the fam.
i was on the hunt for a protein pancakes recipe but i wasn’t having much success. i cut the recipe in half, used quest vanilla milkshake protein powder and almond milk. so each scoop that i put in was probably equivalent to a scoop and a half came out excellent. i cut this in half… used 1 scoop of vanilla isopure powder, 1 egg, 1/2 t baking powder and a little milk… made 2 5-6 inch pancakes. i can not believe my eyes on this protein powder pancake possibility!, making this in the morning. i used just egg whites instead of whole eggs and it was so delicious! i cut the recipe in half and only needed 1 tbsp of milk. i don’t have any calorie or carb friendly syrup so i changed it up and used one of my favorite protein powders in place of the vanilla flavor you suggested.
i used the recommended protein powder. this is the second recipe i have made from your site and it is the second hit!! i am going to use the ghost protein powder. i topped it with butter, a little whipped cream and bacon crumbles!!! i used ghost whey protein and added about half a smashed banana for some moisture and used 3 tbsp of water. i also have a banana and oat allergy, so i very much appreciate the effort you put into this recipe! i used the pescience cake pop protein powder (only one on hand) and only 2-3 tablespoons of cashew milk. i also used a vanilla whey protein from nutrikey just for reference. love this pancakes, i didn’t use whey protein i used “my protein” powder, one a scoop of mint chocolate and one scoop of vanilla, i used 3 tablespoons of water and they came out perfect.
